Swishcraft Music, the nation’s premiere dance music label, is proud to release "Get Up, Stand Up”, its first collaboration with Danny Verde and Steven Redant, the European dance producing sensation known as Bent Collective. Inspired by Frantique's 1979 disco song "Strut Your Funky Stuff", ”Get Up, Stand Up" is a peak time tribal house track layered with disco vocals, high hats and other classic elements.
Matt Consola founded Swishcraft Music in 2011 and is a veteran DJ/Producer/Remixer. The label evolved out of Consola's extremely popular and widely syndicated radio show of the same name. “As a producer and DJ myself, I've been a fan of Bent Collective for years,” says Swishcraft Music founder and CEO Matt Consola. “Danny and Steven have helped to bring the big room European club sound to mainstream America. Through their work with artists like Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber, they have brought a sound traditionally applied to tracks intended for the dance floor to songs played on pop radio.”
That signature sound is captured in “Get Up, Stand Up”, their latest club track and first with US dance label, Swishcraft Music. Though they refer to the seventies original as a great piece of musical art, they say it needed to be remade for today’s clubs. They used the same structure as the original, but changed the hook a bit to add energy and enable their tribal bass sound to kick hard and loud. “Our sound is high energy house on a kick ass tribal beat,” explains Steven Redant. “Tracks are powerful enough for the big room but not too hard for the house floor.” “A screaming diva on top is always a must,” adds Danny Verde.
